Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of scalable full-stack applications across architecture, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Design and implement enterprise software using modern frameworks, APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions with product, architecture, design, and engineering stakeholders.
- Drive code reviews, test automation, CI/CD, secure coding, and software quality practices.
- Ensure application reliability, performance, observability, security, and operational resilience.
- Own production stability through monitoring, incident response, root cause analysis, and performance optimization.
- Contribute to technical strategy, roadmap planning, architecture decisions, build-versus-buy evaluations, and solution patterns.
- Use AI and emerging technologies to improve engineering productivity and client and employee experiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; an advanced degree is preferred.
- 8+ years of software development experience with strong full-stack expertise.
- Deep experience with Java 17+, Spring Boot 3+, microservices, and RESTful APIs.
- Frontend experience with Angular 14+, React, and JavaScript, including state management and reusable component design.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Windsurf, Codex, or Devin, including prompt writing for code generation, refactoring, and test creation.
- Familiarity with MCP servers and agentic frameworks for developer workflows.
- Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging platforms, preferably Kafka.
- Knowledge of JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber/Gherkin, unit and integration testing, TDD, and BDD.
- Experience with SonarQube, Veracode, or Fortify for code quality and security.
- Strong DevOps and CI/CD experience with Git/GitLab, Docker, and release strategies such as blue-green and feature-flag deployments.
- Familiarity with SLF4J/Log4j, log aggregation, metrics, tracing, and Splunk.
- Experience with MongoDB, Snowflake, or other NoSQL/data platforms and data modeling for microservices.
- Experience with Camunda 7/8, Drools 7/8, Hazelcast 5, Spring Cloud, Spring AI, LangChain4J, and Python.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and pair-programming skills.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments with JIRA, Confluence, and Slack.
- Financial services or securities industry experience is relevant.
