Base Salary
$80k - $100k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain data-processing applications using Spark and Scala.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and design efficient solutions.
- Implement test-driven deployment practices to improve application reliability.
- Deploy artifacts from lower to higher environments and ensure smooth transitions.
- Troubleshoot and debug Spark performance issues.
- Participate in sprint planning, development, and delivery in an agile environment.
- Provide production batch support, resolve issues, and deliver fixes for critical business needs.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of the Scala programming language.
- Proficiency developing and optimizing Spark applications.
- Ability to troubleshoot and debug Spark performance issues.
- Understanding of design patterns and data structures for efficient data processing.
- Familiarity with database concepts and SQL.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology, or a master's degree in Software Engineering.
- English proficiency is required.
- Experience with test-driven deployment practices is preferred.
- Familiarity with Python is preferred.
- Knowledge of Databricks is preferred.
- Understanding of Snowflake for data storage and retrieval is preferred.
- Understanding of DevOps practices is preferred.
