Base Salary
$169k - $216k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop reliable C++ firmware for spacecraft, satellite buses, and reentry capsules across entire missions.
- Own software design, development, testing, integration, requirements capture, and initial design trades.
- Build bare-metal, RTOS-based, or Linux-based software for embedded processors.
- Develop highly reliable and available software systems.
- Ensure software quality and performance through testing, verification, and validation.
- Provide flight operational support.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, math, physics, engineering, or equivalent technical experience in safety-critical software.
- At least 5 years of experience developing spacecraft or similar safety-critical software.
- Experience developing and testing real-time embedded hardware and software systems.
- Experience developing in C++ with strong understanding of language concepts.
- Preferred experience with safety-critical aerospace software.
- Preferred experience with Python or Rust.
- Strong understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, data structures, and computer networking.
- Must qualify as a U.S. person under the stated ITAR requirements.
