Responsibilities
- Develop reliable flight software controlling spacecraft, satellite bus, and reentry capsule operations throughout the mission.
- Write structured bare-metal, RTOS-based, or Linux-based software for embedded processors in C++.
- Own software design, development, testing, verification, validation, and integration.
- Scope projects, capture requirements, and perform initial design trades for open-ended problems.
- Support software quality and performance through testing, verification, validation, and flight operations.
- Collaborate, communicate, and solve problems in a team environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, or equivalent technical experience in safety-critical software.
- At least 5 years of experience developing spacecraft or similar safety-critical software.
- Experience developing in C++ with a strong understanding of C++ language concepts.
- Preferred: end-to-end spacecraft development and launch experience.
- Preferred: real-time embedded systems, aerospace safety-critical software, CCSDS telemetry and telecommand, F' or cFS, Python or Rust, analog and digital electronics, and SPI, I2C, CAN, or EtherCAT experience.
