Responsibilities
- Define and own Siemens Polarion ALM solution architecture for requirements management, compliance, verification, traceability, and change control across HVDC projects.
- Design and govern Polarion information models, workflows, work items, document templates, baselines, approvals, permissions, and governance frameworks.
- Lead Polarion configuration, customization, automation, dashboards, LiveReports, extensions, and scalable reporting solutions.
- Establish best practices for requirements lifecycle management, test management, defect handling, change-impact analysis, traceability, and compliance reporting.
- Design and oversee integrations between Polarion and PLM, engineering, DevOps, and test-management platforms using REST APIs, SDKs, and OSLC.
- Drive platform performance, scalability, security, access management, data quality, upgrade, release, and lifecycle-governance decisions.
- Collaborate with engineering, business, IT, and vendor stakeholders to align Polarion capabilities with organizational processes and ALM strategy.
- Lead solution reviews, issue resolution, continuous improvements, user enablement, mentoring, architecture documentation, and training.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with Siemens Polarion ALM as a Solution Architect, Technical Lead, Senior Configurator, or in a similar role within compliance-driven engineering environments.
- Proven experience designing and implementing end-to-end ALM solutions covering requirements, testing, traceability, change management, approvals, reporting, and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of requirements lifecycle management, including authoring, reviews, baselining, change control, reuse, variants, and traceability.
- Hands-on experience configuring and customizing Polarion workflows, work item types, permissions, dashboards, LiveReports, automation, and reporting solutions.
- Strong technical skills in Java, JavaScript, Velocity, REST APIs, SDKs, OSLC concepts, and enterprise-system integration approaches.
- Experience defining solution architecture, governance models, data structures, security concepts, release management, upgrade strategies, and configuration standards.
- Strong analytical, stakeholder-management, communication, and documentation skills, including the ability to resolve complex technical challenges and translate business needs into scalable solutions.
- Experience creating architecture documentation, technical guidance, training materials, and supporting user adoption.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Teamcenter, Jira, Git-based platforms, or related ALM/PLM ecosystems is an advantage.
