Responsibilities
- Engage in pre-sales activities with enterprise customers to influence stakeholders, achieve technical wins, and support solution selection.
- Lead technical discovery, demos, workshops, architecture reviews, proofs of concept, and validation activities.
- Advise customers on GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Advanced Security, GitHub Copilot, and agentic software engineering workflows.
- Assess customer development processes and technical challenges, identifying opportunities to modernize the SDLC and improve engineering efficiency.
- Build and maintain trusted customer relationships and support strategic solution adoption.
- Partner with Account Executives, Customer Success, sales leaders, and partners on account plans and customer growth.
- Design innovative GitHub-based solutions aligned with customer strategic goals and digital transformation initiatives.
- Communicate business and industry insights and support marketing events and customer engagement activities.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in technical consulting, technical consultative selling, or related technical, sales, or industry experience; alternatives include a bachelor's degree plus 4+ years, a master's degree plus 2+ years, a doctorate, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to travel up to 40% throughout SAARC and the wider APAC region, with occasional travel beyond the region.
- Preferred: 10+ years of experience in technical consulting, consultative selling, or related technical, sales, or industry roles.
- Preferred: 3+ years of software development experience focused on digital transformation and software modernization.
- Preferred: 5+ years of business consulting and customer-facing engagement experience, including coordinating technical, support, and partner teams.
- Preferred: 2+ years of hands-on software engineering experience building and shipping production-ready enterprise and customer-facing applications.
- Preferred: knowledge of SDLC, DevSecOps, CI/CD, application security, platform engineering, GitHub/DevOps platforms, and AI-powered developer workflows.
- Ability to build trusted customer relationships, explain complex technical concepts clearly, resolve implementation blockers, and drive successful technology deployments.
