Base Salary
$127k - $191k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy QuRT OS and Zephyr RTOS software across multiple Qualcomm SoC subsystems.
- Design, implement, test, document, integrate, deploy, and support new RTOS features.
- Customize and deploy Zephyr for subsystem requirements and contribute improvements to the Zephyr community.
- Maintain and enhance continuous integration and test systems.
- Debug embedded software using processor architecture knowledge and designated hardware and software tools.
- Identify and resolve architecture and design issues across systems and subsystems.
- Collaborate in design reviews, gather feedback, track issues, and document features and design changes.
- Guide lower-level engineers and propose minor improvements while working under close supervision.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field plus 2+ years of relevant work experience; alternatively, a master's degree plus 1+ year of experience or a PhD.
- 2+ years of experience with high-performance microprocessor design.
- Experience or interest in embedded software development using C, C++, and assembly language for RISC-V, ARM, or Hexagon.
- Experience or interest in multi-core computer architecture, embedded systems, off-target development and testing, Python scripting, and automation.
- Experience or interest in embedded debugging, embedded software security, secure software development, continuous integration and testing, and source control systems.
- Preferred qualifications include a master's degree, 2+ years of programming, computer architecture, or embedded systems experience, 2+ years of design verification experience, and 1+ year in a large matrixed organization.
- Automotive software experience involving ASPICE, ISO-26262, or ISO-21434 is valued.
