Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize large-scale cloud database systems for availability, security, and performance.
- Automate the deployment and migration of PostgreSQL, Oracle, and other databases into AWS and Azure.
- Develop end-to-end deployment, data engineering, infrastructure automation, and CI/CD capabilities.
- Design and configure distributed database solutions, SQL Server services, Azure networking, security policies, and firewall rules.
- Lead enterprise data architecture strategies, complex project life-cycle plans, schedules, risk management, and delivery goals.
- Participate in architecture teams, advise senior leadership, resolve technology issues, and provide technical evaluations.
- Review development testing tools and test plans and ensure QA readiness of software deliverables.
- Document applications and subsystems and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Applied Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field and five years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree in one of those fields and three years of relevant experience.
- Experience building, deploying, and maintaining multi-cloud continuous delivery platforms for cloud-native enterprise applications using PostgreSQL, AWS, and Azure.
- Expertise designing Jenkins-based DevOps CI/CD pipelines and platform automation using CloudFormation, PowerShell, YAML, JSON, and Python.
- Experience implementing infrastructure as code with CloudFormation and Terraform and performing Jenkins and PowerShell upgrade releases.
- Experience designing distributed database solutions with YugabyteDB and CockroachDB and implementing Linux machine rehydration workflows.
- Experience configuring SQL Server, SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, Azure Virtual Networks, subnets, DHCP, DNS, security policies, and firewall rules.
- Experience developing automation scripts across software development life-cycle environments.
