Base Salary
$143k - $304k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to derive scenarios and user requirements.
- Identify dependencies and develop design documents for products, applications, services, or platforms.
- Create, implement, optimize, debug, refactor, and reuse code to improve performance, maintainability, effectiveness, and ROI.
- Partner with stakeholders to drive project plans, release plans, and work items.
- Act as a Designated Responsible Individual, guide other engineers, monitor systems on call, communicate service status, and initiate restoration actions for operational issues.
- Improve product availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance through new technical solutions and operational patterns.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 6+ years of technical engineering experience coding in C and C++, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Preferred: Master's degree with 8+ years of technical engineering experience, or bachelor's degree with 12+ years, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: 8+ years of experience with kernel development, embedded systems, hardware offloads, or virtualization.
- Preferred: 8+ years of experience with storage datapath performance, memory management, or device virtualization.
- Preferred: 4+ years of experience with performance tuning, measurement, and data analysis.
- Preferred: 6+ years of experience with Cloud Service Providers, root cause analysis, or measurement and validation.
Benefits
- The role may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
- The typical U.S. base pay range is USD $142,800-$274,800 per year, with different ranges for the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area.
- The position will remain open for at least five days and accepts applications on an ongoing basis until filled.
