Base Salary
$143k - $275k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead by example through hands-on coding, optimization, debugging, refactoring, code reuse, and application of coding standards and quality metrics.
- Lead architecture discussions, develop design documents and proposals, select technologies, and own portions of system design and related decisions.
- Review code for quality, reliability, accuracy, diagnosability, maintainability, security, and scalability.
- Define testing strategies and success criteria, improve test coverage and suites, and drive test automation.
- Identify dependencies and upstream/downstream effects across teams while optimizing performance, reliability, and dependency chains.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align on user requirements and incorporate customer feedback, usage patterns, and value metrics.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline and 6+ years of technical engineering experience coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check and other applicable Microsoft, customer, or government security screenings.
- Preferred: 10+ years of software engineering experience and a track record delivering large-scale services or products.
- Preferred: experience leading complex cross-team initiatives and deep expertise in distributed systems, cloud computing, system architecture, performance and scalability, security, and reliability engineering.
- Preferred proficiency in C#, Java, C++, Python, Go, and Azure technologies.
- Preferred leadership capabilities include strategic thinking, technical influence without direct authority, executive-level communication, stakeholder management, and organizational problem solving.

- Base pay is provided for U.S. locations, with separate ranges for the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area.
