Responsibilities
- Architect and build performance-critical vehicle-to-cloud data pipelines with low latency and high reliability over cellular networks.
- Design and develop in-vehicle software components for cloud-based monitoring, dispatch, and remote vehicle control.
- Own technical requirements and translate product and operational goals into concrete system architectures.
- Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and establish software engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with product managers, cloud engineers, test engineering, and operations teams on validation and field deployment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, equivalent to at least 60 months.
- Deep expertise in modern C++ standards 11, 14, and 17 on Linux platforms.
- Experience designing and optimizing multithreaded, asynchronous systems with performance and memory-management constraints.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and operating-system primitives.
- Experience taking complex features from concept through design, implementation, testing, and production deployment.
- Experience designing applications that interface with AWS IoT Core or Azure IoT for telemetry, remote command and control, and secure over-the-air updates.
- Bonus experience with DDS, gRPC, MQTT, Protobuf, ARM-based embedded systems, cross-compilation toolchains, Python, or Golang.
- Experience leading technical projects in globally distributed teams is a bonus.
