Base Salary
$182k - $242k/yr
Responsibilities
- Debug and fix complex issues spanning the kernel and Kubernetes boundary.
- Investigate and resolve cgroup and namespace issues that manifest under real workloads.
- Analyze kernel crashes and panics using tools like crash, gdb, and kdump.
- Collaborate with teams to identify root causes and implement fixes.
- Develop and upstream Linux kernel patches as necessary.
- Build diagnostics and tooling for kernel and cgroup observability.
- Partner with various teams to ensure kernel and container-runtime readiness.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Linux kernel engineering or systems-level development.
- Deep understanding of kernel internals including memory management and scheduling.
- Hands-on experience with cgroups and namespaces.
- Experience debugging kernel crashes and using tools like crash and gdb.
- Strong C programming skills for writing maintainable code.
- Familiarity with container and Kubernetes stack behaviors.
