Responsibilities
- Design, train, and deploy machine learning models for text classification, entity extraction, clustering, narrative detection, and topic detection.
- Build LLM-powered features using prompt design, retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, semantic search, and agentic workflows.
- Productionize ML models as scalable, monitored services with latency, cost, and accuracy targets.
- Build evaluation frameworks and datasets to measure model quality, bias, and drift.
- Collaborate with data engineering to improve ingestion, labeling, and feature pipelines for high-volume, noisy, multilingual text data.
- Monitor and retrain production models and debug quality issues end to end.
- Participate in daily standups and technical discussions with US-based client teams.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of professional experience building and deploying machine learning models in production.
- Strong Python skills and hands-on experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Hugging Face Transformers.
- Practical NLP experience with areas such as classification, named entity recognition, topic modeling, or semantic similarity on real-world text data.
- Hands-on experience building with LLMs, including prompt engineering and retrieval-augmented generation.
- Experience with embeddings and vector search technologies.
- Experience deploying and operating ML services on AWS, GCP, or Azure using Docker and CI/CD.
- Strong understanding of model evaluation, including metrics, test sets, error analysis, and production monitoring.
- Preferred experience includes trust and safety, threat intelligence, disinformation research, social media data, agentic AI systems, multilingual or Spanish-language NLP, MLOps tooling, streaming or large-scale data processing, and distributed US-based teams.
