Responsibilities
- Design and develop new software features and maintain existing features.
- Analyze bug reports and implement software fixes across multiple platforms.
- Collaborate with the engineering manager and geographically distributed team on product requirements and features.
- Execute software design and delivery work.
- Contribute to and validate product documentation.
- Assist with performance tuning for specific environments and use cases.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent education/experience.
- 7 to 15 years of total software development experience.
- Experience developing software in Linux environments using Rust and Bash scripting.
- Candidates with strong systems-level experience in C, C++, or Golang who are willing to work with Rust may apply.
- Linux experience is preferred.
- Experience with Jira, Jenkins, Gerrit, Git, and GitHub is preferred.
- Experience with enterprise-class or HPC storage systems and/or distributed systems is a bonus.
- Strong communication, teamwork, self-starting, prioritization, multitasking, and deadline-management abilities.
