Base Salary
$139k - $233k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end firmware integration and characterization of cabin temperature, humidity, solar, rain, and light sensing.
- Integrate and validate motorized air vents, including aiming, calibration, position accuracy, end-stop learning, and HMI alignment.
- Define sensor plausibility, validity, fault-detection, actuator interface, diagnostic trouble code, and self-test requirements.
- Design and execute firmware verification plans, review embedded C, support release sign-off, and investigate root causes using logs, CAN/LIN/Ethernet traces, and physical measurements.
- Support vehicle testing, including hot- and cold-weather campaigns, and drive issue closure through Jira and Jama workflows.
- Own climate-to-HMI interface specifications, command-to-response latency targets, technical documentation, and supplier coordination.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering.
- At least 3 years of experience in embedded systems, firmware integration, or systems engineering.
- Strong understanding of sensors, actuators, motors, position feedback, and their interaction with embedded software.
- Proficiency reading and debugging C/C++ on embedded targets.
- Experience debugging across electrical, mechanical, and software domains and working with automotive CAN, LIN, and Ethernet protocols.
- Hands-on laboratory experience building test setups, instrumenting hardware, and generating test data.
- Preferred qualifications include a relevant master’s degree, HVAC or cabin climate experience, environmental or optical sensing integration, motorized air-vent experience, manufacturing diagnostics, UDS, DTC design, ISO 26262, Python, MATLAB, Vector tools, Jira, Confluence, Jama, and thermal or fluid-dynamics knowledge.
