Responsibilities
- Provide post-sales technical leadership for strategic customers designing and implementing big data projects.
- Architect production-level workloads spanning architecture, data engineering, model deployment, and end-to-end pipeline performance optimization.
- Identify initiatives that help customers turn data into business value and align technical roadmaps with business goals.
- Deliver customer tutorials, training sessions, hackathons, conference presentations, and other community adoption activities.
- Provide technical architecture guidance and support customer success in a senior customer-facing capacity.
Requirements
- Hands-on expertise with Apache Spark and Databricks across several large-scale projects.
- Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional certification.
- More than five years of experience as a Software Engineer or Data Engineer, including query tuning, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and debugging.
- Experience designing and implementing big data technologies including Hadoop, NoSQL, MPP, OLTP, and OLAP.
- Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java.
- Experience designing and using cloud infrastructure and services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with CI/CD development tools, unit and integration testing, automation and orchestration, REST APIs, BI tools, SQL interfaces, and Jenkins.
- Experience in customer-facing pre-sales, post-sales, technical architecture, or consulting roles.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with strategic stakeholders and leadership.
- Desired experience in data science or ML engineering, including model selection, model lifecycle, hyperparameter tuning, model serving, deep learning, and MLFlow.
