Responsibilities
- Own the technical design and development of cross-functional, multi-platform, fault-tolerant application systems.
- Build and maintain both user-facing front-end and server-side back-end components for the travel portal.
- Participate throughout the Software Development Life Cycle and contribute to high-level design.
- Improve developer experience by identifying gaps in internal frameworks and tools.
- Establish engineering best practices, technical standards, and code review standards.
- Provide technical support and guidance to technical and business stakeholders.
- Mentor junior and intermediate associates.
- Work with programming languages, databases, and AWS tools and services across the application stack.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of hands-on development experience using at least two listed programming languages or technologies.
- At least 6 years of experience with application and/or data design, architecture, and development.
- Proficiency building both front-end and back-end applications in a full-stack role.
- Experience mentoring junior or intermediate associates and guiding technical and business stakeholders.
- Preferred: 8+ years leading the full software development lifecycle.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Preferred: Experience with AWS or other cloud products such as Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud.
- Preferred: Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
