Responsibilities
- Embed with Aerospace & Defense customers to understand their operations and design and ship software directly with them.
- Build and test full-stack features spanning backend services and APIs, data and persistence, integrations, and web interfaces.
- Connect IFS with ERP, CRM, IoT, telemetry, legacy, and mission systems and own solution architecture in customer environments.
- Own delivery end to end, including automated testing, deployment, observability, operational reliability, and production support.
- Use AI-assisted and agentic development tooling and help deliver AI-powered capabilities into customer environments.
- Feed customer-site insights back into the core product and roadmap in partnership with product management and engineering.
- Act as a trusted technical representative for customers, partners, engineers, and operations leaders.
- Travel to customer sites as required.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience designing, building, and shipping production software across the full stack using modern general-purpose programming languages.
- Substantial experience working directly with customers or embedded teams to deploy, integrate, harden, and support enterprise software in customer environments.
- Experience integrating systems such as ERP, CRM, IoT, and legacy platforms.
- End-to-end ownership of production software, including quality, automated testing, CI/CD, cloud, DevOps, and security.
- Senior-level autonomy, architecture judgment, delivery ownership, and the ability to raise engineering standards with little supervision.
- Excellent communication with technical and non-technical audiences, sound judgment, comfort with ambiguity, and business-oriented decision-making.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites.
- Strongly preferred experience shipping AI-powered capabilities involving model integration, prompt engineering, RAG, agentic architectures, evaluation, and testing, or using AI-assisted and agentic development tools.
- Experience with Aerospace & Defense organizations or asset, maintenance, MRO, or fleet-readiness management solutions is preferred.
- Experience with enterprise asset management, field service, or maintenance-management solutions is preferred.
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with agile delivery and globally distributed teams is preferred.
