Base Salary

$182k - $250k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead customer technical projects by designing and delivering production-grade systems, reference architectures, custom applications, data ingestion, and ML/AI model integrations.
  • Design and deploy end-to-end data and AI applications incorporating data pipelines, ML/AI models, and user-facing interfaces.
  • Own architecture and design decisions to deliver secure, scalable solutions aligned with customer needs and Databricks best practices.
  • Guide customers through architecture, implementation, evaluation, adoption, training, and successful use of Databricks solutions.
  • Collaborate with engagement managers, project managers, architects, engineering, customer support, and customer teams to deliver technical components and resolve issues.
  • Embed with customer stakeholders ranging from technical individual contributors to executives and manage scope, timelines, outcomes, and conflicts.
  • Create reusable accelerators, frameworks, and best practices while contributing feedback that influences the Databricks product roadmap.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms and analytics, or software engineering.
  • Ability to write code in Python, Scala, JavaScript, or TypeScript and work with modern frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of at least two cloud ecosystems among AWS, Azure, and GCP, with expertise in at least one.
  • Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark and knowledge of Spark runtime internals.
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD, MLOps, ML/AI models, and AI APIs.
  • Experience designing and deploying performant production-grade end-to-end data architectures and applications.
  • Experience delivering technical projects, managing scope and timelines, and translating complex concepts into actionable solutions.
  • Strong documentation and whiteboarding skills, plus experience working with enterprise clients and broad stakeholder groups.
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and eagerness to explore technologies supporting Databricks-based solution deployment and integration.
  • Databricks Certification.
  • Willingness to travel to customers 20% of the time.
