Responsibilities
- Train, improve, and deploy NLP and generative AI models for Suki’s healthcare platform.
- Enhance computational infrastructure, technical approaches, algorithms, and distributed ML services.
- Manage and curate large datasets to ensure data quality and relevance for training and evaluation.
- Monitor and analyze system performance metrics, identify optimization opportunities, and implement improvements.
- Design and implement evaluation frameworks for LLM-based systems, including automated evaluations, human feedback loops, regression testing, and benchmarks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve NLP challenges and scale the platform for thousands of doctors.
- Track advances in NLP and generative AI and incorporate relevant innovations into production systems.
Requirements
- At least five years of overall machine learning experience, including at least three years focused on NLP and contextual embeddings.
- A proven end-to-end workflow with at least one NLP model moved into an enterprise production system.
- Expertise understanding, applying, and deploying state-of-the-art deep neural network models.
- Experience building and maintaining distributed backend services for ML and AI applications.
- Strong computer science fundamentals in abstractions, algorithms, probability, data structures, and system design are preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of LLMs, including prompting, orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation, context management, and cost management.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing evaluation frameworks for LLM-based systems, including automated evaluations, human feedback loops, regression testing, and benchmark design.
- Clear communication and demonstrated ability to build consensus in cross-functional teams.
