Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated tests to ensure high test coverage and fast feedback on defects.
- Continuously maintain and improve test frameworks.
- Help define the test architecture across all test frameworks and tooling.
- Manage test strategy, product testing, and planning within your sprint team.
- Create testing-related documentation including test plans and test cases.
- Find and report bugs and track these to resolution in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the Product team to provide valuable insight and input for impactful features.
- Provide clear test results to Development and Product teams to manage project expectations.
- Create and maintain security and performance tests.
- Develop deep expertise in SmithRx products.
- Utilize AI tools like Playwright MCP, Claude, and Copilot for efficiency.
- Maintain and refine quality metrics to track and communicate overall product health.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- 12+ years of experience in QA and automation testing with a demonstrated track record of team leadership.
- Experience with one of the following languages: Python, Typescript, Java, or Javascript.
- Experience with writing automated tests for APIs in a scripting or programming language.
- Experience with API automation frameworks such as Pytest or REST Assured.
- Experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Familiarity with Page Object Model for UI automation.
- Familiarity with CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or Jenkins.
