
Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) — Agentforce Orchestration

Responsibilities
- Build, configure, and optimize Agentforce Operations workflows with agent reasoning, tool-calling logic, and conditional execution loops.
- Implement agent-to-agent communication standards and Model Context Protocol workflows for context sharing, task hand-offs, and tool execution.
- Architect and maintain real-time enterprise AI grounding infrastructure using RAG, vector databases, search indexes, and knowledge bases.
- Develop APIs and integration pipelines connecting Agentforce Operations with Salesforce Data Cloud, cloud warehouses, and ERP systems through MuleSoft or custom middleware.
- Write production code and use AI-assisted development tools including Cursor, Claude, and Vibes.
- Model data, ship ETL/ELT pipelines, and build real-time dashboards for agent execution health, fallback triggers, and business outcomes.
- Deploy automated supply chain and back-office workflows in customer environments and provide feedback to Salesforce product and engineering teams.
- Whiteboard architecture with enterprise CTOs and VPs while collaborating with lead architects and customer deployment teams.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of software engineering or technical delivery experience, including at least one production AI, data engineering, or enterprise integration system deployed to production.
- High proficiency in at least one of Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex.
- Deep hands-on experience with LLM orchestration, prompt tuning, RAG pipelines, vector search indexes, and enterprise knowledge-base retrievers.
- Practical experience with REST, SOAP, webhooks, MCP, tool calling, or event-driven messaging architectures.
- Expertise in process orchestration and API-led connectivity using MuleSoft or custom middleware for legacy ERP integration.
- Understanding of data modeling, schema design, asynchronous messaging, enterprise security, identity and access management, OAuth, data privacy, audit logging, permissioning, and secure tool execution.
- Strong executive presence and ability to communicate architecture with enterprise CTOs and VPs while writing production code.
- Familiarity with automation platforms, enterprise AI platforms, integrated enterprise applications, deployment infrastructure, data governance systems, and operational execution platforms.
- Preferred experience in supply chain, manufacturing, or logistics execution; Salesforce technologies; cloud data platforms; and creating reusable accelerators, reference architectures, connectors, and implementation playbooks.
- Willingness to travel 25–30% for on-site deployment with enterprise accounts.
