Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) — Agentforce Orchestration

Responsibilities
- Build, configure, and optimize Agentforce Operations workflows with agent reasoning, tool-calling logic, and conditional execution loops.
- Implement agent-to-agent communication standards and the Model Context Protocol for context sharing, task handoffs, and tool execution.
- Architect and maintain real-time enterprise AI grounding systems using RAG, vector databases, search indexes, and knowledge bases.
- Develop APIs and integration pipelines connecting Agentforce and Salesforce Data Cloud with cloud warehouses and ERP systems through MuleSoft or custom middleware.
- Use AI-assisted developer tools to move from architecture concepts to deployable production code.
- Model data, ship ETL/ELT pipelines, and build dashboards for agent execution health, fallback triggers, and business outcomes.
- Connect customer deployment feedback and edge cases to Salesforce product and engineering roadmaps.
- Whiteboard architectures with enterprise CTOs and VPs while writing production code alongside lead architects.
- Travel 25–30% for on-site deployment with enterprise accounts.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of software engineering or technical delivery experience, including at least one production AI, data engineering, or enterprise integration system deployed to production.
- High proficiency in at least one of Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex.
- Deep experience with LLM orchestration, prompt tuning, RAG pipelines, vector search indexes, and enterprise knowledge-base retrievers.
- Practical experience with REST, SOAP, webhooks, MCP, tool calling, or event-driven messaging architectures.
- Expertise in process orchestration and API-led connectivity using MuleSoft or custom middleware.
- Understanding of data modeling, schema design, asynchronous message integration, data governance, and master data systems.
- Experience with enterprise security and governance concepts including identity and access management, OAuth, data privacy, audit logging, permissioning, and secure tool execution.
- Familiarity with automation platforms, enterprise AI platforms, integrated enterprise applications, and deployment infrastructure such as Kafka, cloud event buses, GitHub, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
- Preferred experience in supply chain, manufacturing, or logistics execution; Salesforce Agentforce, Data Cloud, Apex, Flow, or headless architectures; and cloud data platforms.
- Ability to create reusable accelerators, reference architectures, connectors, and implementation playbooks from customer deployments.
