Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and support the Asset and Liability Platform for risk evaluation and related business activities.
- Provide technical guidance and direction to business teams, technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others.
- Drive adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices for code review, refactoring, testing, release readiness, and incident analysis.
- Establish measurable standards for secure coding, peer review, automated testing, and validation of AI-generated outputs.
- Use Software Development Life Cycle toolchain automation to improve engineering delivery and operational outcomes.
- Influence product design, application functionality, technical operations, and engineering processes.
- Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert and advocate for firmwide engineering frameworks, tools, and practices.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 8+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, including Java or Python.
- Experience leading the effective use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools.
- Ability to establish expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Strong understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security controls.
- Experience coaching senior engineers or leads on compliant AI-assisted engineering practices.
- Ability to independently solve design and functionality problems with little to no oversight.
- Practical cloud-native experience.
- Preferred exposure to AWS, Databricks, Airflow, and Kafka.
