Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the firm’s Enterprise AI Architecture across model infrastructure, data pipelines, orchestration layers, integration patterns, and governance controls.
- Develop reference architectures and standards for agentic AI, multi-agent workflows, tool use, MCP, RAG, and priority investment-management use cases.
- Integrate AI capabilities with enterprise data and content platforms and establish patterns for data privacy, security, prompt-injection defense, PII handling, and sovereign data requirements.
- Design and operationalize AI governance covering model risk, explainability, bias monitoring, data lineage, regulatory compliance, and model evaluation and selection.
- Translate business strategies into AI architecture requirements and roadmaps and guide Architecture Review Board evaluations.
- Produce reference architectures, technology radars, strategic assessments, vendor evaluations, and architectural decision records.
- Monitor and pilot frontier AI capabilities, maintain relationships with vendors and research institutions, and advise senior leadership.
- Mentor architects and engineers on AI design patterns, responsible AI, and enterprise architecture practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in technology architecture roles, including 3–5 years focused on AI/ML architecture in large, complex enterprise environments.
- Hands-on command of LLM APIs and fine-tuning, vector databases, RAG architectures, embedding pipelines, prompt engineering, and agent orchestration frameworks such as LangChain or AutoGen.
- Practical experience with agentic AI architecture, multi-agent coordination, and Model Context Protocol or similar tool-use frameworks.
- Experience with enterprise data platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks and integrating AI capabilities with them.
- Strong understanding of AWS cloud-native architecture and relevant AI/ML services such as Bedrock.
- Experience producing architecture artifacts and operating within Architecture Review Boards and enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF.
- Excellent communication skills for explaining complex technical topics to nontechnical stakeholders.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s or PhD in a relevant AI or computer science field, financial-services experience, knowledge of AI governance and model-risk frameworks, and familiarity with quantum computing, blockchain, or DLT.
