Responsibilities
- Develop next-generation recommendation capabilities using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Manage large data volumes with Google BigQuery and integrate with business intelligence systems and the data platform.
- Build and enhance high-traffic, low-latency APIs.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, data scientists, and analysts to improve functionality and launch new features.
- Take end-to-end responsibility for the recommendation engine and maintain code quality.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience building scalable APIs using technologies such as Node.js, Python, or Go.
- Recent practical experience with a typed programming language such as TypeScript.
- Solid knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases.
- Ability to write efficient, maintainable code and actively maintain software quality.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in an English-speaking, agile environment.
- Curiosity and willingness to explore machine learning and generative AI technologies.
- Preferred: experience with Elasticsearch or OpenSearch, dbt data models, MPP data warehouses, Datadog, AWS or GCP, Dagster or Airflow, distributed data processing frameworks, machine learning models, or LLM-based systems.
