Base Salary
$208k - $350k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive technical vision, architectural direction, engineering best practices, and quality improvements across the Channels division.
- Lead large, ambiguous, multi-team projects from problem framing and design through implementation, rollout, and operational support.
- Help teams evolve channel foundations and frameworks to support sophisticated marketing use cases.
- Mentor engineers through coaching, code reviews, architecture reviews, and pairing.
- Improve observability, error handling, incremental rollouts, reliability, and incident reduction across dashboard and delivery systems.
- Design and build foundational systems, frameworks, platforms, and developer tooling hands-on.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including meaningful technical leadership across multiple teams or complex product systems.
- Experience with Ruby on Rails and proficiency in modern frontend development using TypeScript and React.
- Experience designing and shipping foundational infrastructure, frameworks, libraries, or platform services used by other engineers.
- Strong architectural judgment and the ability to make technical decisions for a maturing product suite.
- Strong communication, mentoring, consensus-building, and ability to drive high-ambiguity projects with minimal direction.
- Preferred experience with shared component libraries or design-system primitives, real-time or event-driven messaging systems, developer-experience tooling, code generation, scaffolding, or CI/CD for large codebases.
- Preferred experience scaling products from early stage to enterprise scale while maintaining developer velocity.
