Responsibilities
- Build and improve software and financial infrastructure used by Stripe customers globally.
- Learn unfamiliar systems through independent research, mentorship, and collaboration with subject matter experts.
- Contribute to multi-person coding projects, code reviews, large code bases, and safe production updates.
- Lead small projects independently and contribute to larger projects alongside peers.
- Use AI tools to accelerate development while reviewing, refining, and validating generated outputs.
Requirements
- Obtain a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or a directly related field by summer 2027, or have equivalent work experience.
- Have no more than 18 months of professional experience, excluding internship experience.
- Have programming experience through side projects or classwork and familiarity with programming fundamentals.
- Have experience from previous internships or collaborative multi-person coding projects in a university or professional setting.
- Be able to learn unfamiliar systems and explain work clearly to stakeholders and teammates.
- Preferred qualifications include specialized knowledge in frontend, backend, infrastructure, or another technical area; code review and production-update experience; familiarity with large code bases; independent project leadership; and strong technical problem-solving judgment.
