Base Salary
$197k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and engineering efforts involving distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Build and deliver robust cloud-based solutions for the Decisioning Platform and related credit decisioning experiences.
- Provide technical leadership across engineering teams, including setting design, development, and operational standards.
- Partner with architects to define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks.
- Improve scalability, observability, performance, multi-tenancy, end-to-end testing, and platform self-service capabilities.
- Identify opportunities for refactoring and technical-debt reduction.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to internal and external technology communities.
- Evaluate emerging tools and practices and influence long-term technology strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field is required.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience is required; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies is required.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, 7+ years coding with more than two listed programming languages, and experience with databases, cloud technologies, open-source frameworks, front-end frameworks, APIs, automated testing, infrastructure as code, Git-based version control, and cloud troubleshooting.
- Preferred experience includes mentoring engineers, using observability to optimize distributed systems, leading cross-functional engineering initiatives, establishing coding standards and design patterns, and using AI-based coding tools or interactive AI tooling.
