Responsibilities
- Partner with Product Management and stakeholders to understand customer and end-user challenges and design viable solutions.
- Recommend process, technology, and interface improvements that increase team effectiveness and reduce technical debt.
- Forecast component capacity requirements and identify system limitations.
- Provide input into story sizing, backlog grooming, and release planning.
- Contribute to product and solution designs addressing critical issues and complex problems.
- Build software applications across multiple platforms.
- Write software and automated tests aligned with technical standards.
- Troubleshoot and investigate issues and provide ongoing support, monitoring, and maintenance for deployed products.
- Provide technical guidance and oversight to less-experienced software engineers.
- Participate in the engineering community and share knowledge of software technologies and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related field and four years of experience designing, coding, testing, correcting, and documenting programs and scripts.
- Alternatively, a master's or foreign equivalent degree with two years of qualifying experience, or a Ph.D. or foreign equivalent degree with qualifying experience or graduate-level coursework.
- Four years of experience designing, developing, and implementing highly scalable, high-volume software systems and components, client-facing web applications, and major Internet-oriented applications and systems.
- Experience or graduate-level coursework ensuring adherence to technical strategies, policies, standards, or practices.
- Experience conducting reviews of personal work and leading reviews of colleagues' work.
- Experience establishing standards and procedures across the technology service lifecycle, including systems integration and testing.
- Experience managing application enhancements to improve business performance.
- Experience creating applications from conception and design through implementation and support.
- Experience managing web-hosted applications using AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience analyzing data and working with SQL and relational databases.
- Experience with Agile application development practices.

- Base salary of $151,439-$174,387, with possible additional incentive compensation.
