Responsibilities
- Own major platform migrations from design through production cutover and retirement of replaced legacy systems.
- Deliver DevOps work supporting revenue- and compliance-critical launches under hard deadlines.
- Modernize GitOps, ingress, and infrastructure-as-code practices to reduce configuration drift and manual toil.
- Strengthen observability and incident response, close alerting gaps, and lead blameless postmortems.
- Set technical direction across a broad, legacy-heavy stack and mentor teammates through knowledge-sharing.
- Act as a dedicated DevOps contact for newly acquired teams and participate in the weekly working-hours on-duty support rotation.
- Coordinate across teams, make decisions under uncertainty, and own production outcomes through issue resolution.
Requirements
- Senior-level technical fluency in AWS and GCP, with AWS as the primary cloud.
- Experience with Kubernetes and EKS; Terraform and Terragrunt with Atlantis; ArgoCD and GitOps; and Envoy Gateway.
- Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenSearch, Okta, Vault, and a range of datastores.
- Ability to drive ambiguous initiatives to shipped outcomes and make technical decisions without detailed specifications.
- Ability to lead incident fixes, conduct blameless postmortems, document decisions, mentor teammates, and coordinate stakeholders.
- Willingness to adopt AI-assisted and agentic development workflows and help teammates adopt them.
