
Senior Lead Software Engineer, AI Infrastructure Platforms

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, review, debug, and improve secure production software.
- Architect, build, operate, monitor, and optimize cloud and GPU infrastructure for multi-GPU and multi-node AI/ML workloads.
- Translate compute, storage, networking, GPU, scalability, and reliability requirements into infrastructure platforms and capabilities.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and infrastructure-as-code solutions for ML platform deployment and lifecycle management.
- Drive technical design decisions across product architecture, infrastructure strategy, application functionality, and operational effectiveness.
- Provide technical leadership to engineers, contractors, and vendor partners.
- Promote secure coding, resiliency, operational excellence, and firmwide SDLC standards.
- Lead adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering tools and establish validation standards for correctness, performance, security, testing, and code quality.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 5 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience building highly scalable and highly available infrastructure for machine learning training or inference workloads.
- Strong system-level knowledge of GPU infrastructure, accelerators, high-speed interconnects, distributed computing, and related platform technologies.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes, Docker, cluster operations, workload scheduling, observability, and production troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in at least one of Python, Go, Java, or C#.
- Ability to independently solve complex design, scalability, reliability, performance, and functionality challenges with minimal oversight.
- Deep understanding of cloud architecture, including compute, storage, networking, security, routing, switching, and microservices.
- Experience leading enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development for coding, code review, testing, troubleshooting, and engineering productivity, including validating AI outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, security, and compliant usage coaching.
- Preferred experience with performance monitoring, production debugging, profiling, sampling, bottleneck analysis, and capacity optimization.
- Preferred familiarity with NVIDIA GPU infrastructure software and ecosystem tools, MLOps platforms, distributed systems, high-performance computing, ML frameworks, cloud data services, big data processing, Linux, and large-scale storage.
- Preferred experience designing platforms for model training, experiment tracking, feature pipelines, model serving, and scalable inference.
