Base Salary
$129k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead assigned engineering projects by defining solutions and timelines, reviewing designs and code, and providing technical direction.
- Build and monitor real-time and batch data pipelines using Spark, Scala, Java, Python, Kafka, Airflow, and Hive.
- Develop backend APIs and data access solutions using Python, Scala, and MySQL.
- Design dashboards and analytical reports using Tableau and QlikView, and implement PL/SQL queries using Oracle and BigQuery.
- Design and develop user interfaces using JavaScript, ReactJS, and NodeJS.
- Troubleshoot business and production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate resolution with support teams.
- Lead project discovery, translate requirements into technical solutions, communicate status, and collaborate with product, project management, business, user experience, and cross-functional teams.
- Support highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable infrastructure, production deployment, change management, monitoring, and code versioning.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field plus two years of software engineering or related experience; or bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus five years of such experience.
- Experience engineering, building, and monitoring real-time and batch data pipelines with Spark, Scala, Java, Python, Kafka, Airflow, and Hive.
- Experience creating backend APIs and working with MySQL, cloud computing, Tableau, QlikView, Oracle, BigQuery, JavaScript, ReactJS, NodeJS, ServiceNow, GitHub, Concord, SVN, JIRA, and Confluence.
- Experience designing highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable infrastructure and coordinating with teams across geographies and time zones.
