Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, maintain, and support enterprise applications.
- Make technology decisions and contribute hands-on coding throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Deliver solutions end to end, from conceptualization and design through implementation and testing.
- Conduct code reviews and design reviews and promote engineering best practices.
- Provide application support, including problem diagnosis and resolution.
- Collaborate with global teams and business partners to understand requirements and build solutions aligned with technology roadmaps and best practices.
- Share technical knowledge and provide technical direction for solution development.
Requirements
- 10+ years of industry experience as a software engineer.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in Engineering or Computer Science.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java/J2EE and Spring Boot for enterprise applications.
- Experience with end-to-end application development and thin-client UI development.
- Understanding of scalable, low-latency, high-throughput distributed application design.
- Hands-on experience with database technologies and knowledge of messaging and streaming technologies.
- Experience delivering solutions from conceptualization through testing and providing application support.
- Experience working in an environment with ongoing architecture, design, and code refactoring.
- Strong understanding of engineering practices such as code review and branching.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Scala and Akka-based applications is an advantage.
- Asset management domain experience is preferred.
- AWS Certified Developer Associate or AWS Certified Architect Associate certification is optional.
