Responsibilities

  • Drive Quality Engineering methodologies and help build and ship high-quality software.
  • Collaborate with development teams to improve software development, testing, and release processes.
  • Create acceptance, integration, functional, and non-functional automation tests.
  • Integrate automated tests with continuous integration and code coverage tools.
  • Partner with developers to design systems for reliability, performance, and testability.
  • Mentor team members while remaining hands-on in development and quality engineering work.

Requirements

  • Strong programming skills and deep knowledge of Java, design patterns, and data structures and algorithms.
  • Strong knowledge of Selenium WebDriver, RESTful services, JSON, XML, TestNG, Spock, and JUnit.
  • Experience with shell, Python, and Groovy scripting.
  • Experience with Bitbucket or GitHub, Docker, Kubernetes, Maven, and Gradle.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, Sonar, Black Duck, and Checkmarx.
  • Experience integrating automation tests with Jenkins or Bamboo and code coverage tools.
  • Knowledge of observability and application performance monitoring tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace.
  • Experience with AWS, SQL, and Oracle Database.
  • Desirable experience with REST Assured, OkHttp, Pivotal GemFire, data virtualization tools, and cloud or microservices environments.
  • Experience testing web UIs, REST and SOAP APIs, and Unix platforms including Red Hat and Mint.
  • Experience working with high-performance applications and collaborating with developers to ensure reliability, performance, and testability.
