Responsibilities
- Identify and resolve ambiguous cross-cutting technical problems across payment protocols, edge AI, and trust infrastructure.
- Set technical direction and drive architectural evolution as capabilities mature from validated concepts into shipped products.
- Determine which foundational decisions require deliberate cross-team planning and which are appropriate for reversible experimentation.
- Own the strategic viability of customer-facing deliverables and ensure they support Intuit’s competitive position.
- Represent technical strategy to senior leadership, business development, legal/compliance, and product stakeholders.
- Design experiment-flagged solutions with defined hypotheses, success metrics, and kill criteria.
- Mentor junior and peer engineers and drive results across distributed, cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience developing systems or software for large business environments, including 7+ years designing complex distributed systems or platforms.
- Track record setting technical direction for sizable organizations and driving architectural evolution across complex, interdependent efforts.
- Deep fluency with AI-native architecture and agent orchestration at the systems level.
- Expertise spanning agentic money domains such as payments/settlement, edge AI, and identity/trust.
- Working fluency with Java, Python, and JavaScript/TypeScript for setting standards across polyglot teams.
- Organizational-level fluency with Kubernetes-based runtime architecture, including AWS EKS.
- Experience designing and running structured experiments such as A/B tests, canary releases, or flagged rollouts.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong communication, mentoring, independent decision-making, cross-functional influence, and distributed-team collaboration skills.
- Preferred qualifications include shaping industry standards, building a technical organization from near-zero headcount, and spanning cloud-side agentic infrastructure with edge/on-device AI systems.
