Responsibilities
- Advise client stakeholders and design best-practice cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Build and deploy cloud infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, or other Infrastructure as Code approaches.
- Architect foundational services for data lakes, data warehouses, and machine learning environments.
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployment, testing, and integration.
- Provide ongoing operational support and maintenance for client cloud environments.
- Implement cloud security, governance, compliance, reliability, performance, and cost-management practices.
- Act as an internal cloud subject matter expert, mentor colleagues, and contribute to delivery standards and knowledge bases.
Requirements
- Proven commercial experience as a Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Cloud Consultant.
- In-depth hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services including Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Virtual Networks, Virtual Network Gateways, RBAC, Management Groups, Azure SQL, Azure SQL Managed Instance, Azure Functions, Azure Data Factory, Azure Kubernetes Service, or Azure Container Service.
- Strong Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform or Bicep and knowledge of Azure Resource Manager.
- Scripting and automation experience with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong communication, consulting, problem-solving, analytical, and stakeholder-engagement skills.
- Ability to work autonomously in agile, client-facing environments and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to commute to London occasionally for client or team sessions.
- Preferred qualifications include Microsoft Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AZ-104, AZ-305, or AZ-400.
- Experience with AWS or GCP is desirable.
- Familiarity with Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Synapse, Azure HDInsight, or Azure AI Foundry is desirable.
