Responsibilities
- Architect and implement reusable CI/CD frameworks, GitHub Actions workflows, templates, golden paths, and platform abstractions.
- Design and build internal platform capabilities, APIs, automation services, and integrations across GitHub, Azure DevOps, Backstage, cloud services, and internal systems.
- Drive enterprise DevOps, SDLC standardization, engineering best practices, and platform enablement across multiple teams.
- Partner with Security, Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure, Risk, and Application Engineering teams to embed governance, compliance, and operational controls.
- Support production-grade engineering platforms through monitoring, incident response, capacity planning, and other SRE practices.
- Guide engineering teams on platform adoption, CI/CD modernization, developer workflows, and engineering best practices.
- Contribute to platform strategy, developer experience initiatives, and platform modernization roadmaps.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps Engineering, Developer Platform Engineering, or related software engineering roles.
- Hands-on experience building developer platform capabilities such as automation, APIs, internal tooling, reusable workflows, and internal developer platforms or portals.
- Deep expertise with GitHub, Azure DevOps, and/or GitLab, including repositories, CI/CD pipelines, reusable workflows or templates, permissions, and integrations.
- Experience designing reusable CI/CD frameworks, standardized engineering workflows, source control governance, branching strategies, release engineering, and developer enablement practices.
- Strong programming and scripting experience with one or more of Go, Java, or TypeScript.
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs, webhooks, and event-driven integrations.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native application delivery patterns.
- Experience embedding governance, compliance, and security controls into engineering workflows, including DevSecOps, policy-as-code, or governance automation.
- Experience supporting production-grade engineering platforms and developer tooling, collaborating cross-functionally, and mentoring engineers.
- Preferred experience with Backstage, self-service engineering workflows, platform observability, engineering metrics, developer productivity initiatives, GitOps frameworks, React, Azure, GCP, platform modernization, engineering transformation, and agentic SDLC or AI-native development.
