Responsibilities
- Design and enhance cross-platform software components, APIs, and distributed systems.
- Develop and maintain backend services using Core Java, Spring MVC, Hibernate, and iBatis.
- Build REST APIs and XML/SOAP web services.
- Implement full-stack Java web functionality using React and Angular.
- Perform deep debugging, hotfix engineering, and high-tier escalation resolution for critical customer issues.
- Use Maven, Ant, Gradle, and Jenkins for build automation.
- Apply AI coding assistants and agentic workflows to system upgrades, refactoring, and vulnerability patching.
- Review AI-generated code for security, architectural alignment, and performance bottlenecks.
Requirements
- Typically 8 to 12 years of software development experience.
- Deep expertise in Core Java, object-oriented design patterns, Spring MVC, Hibernate, and iBatis.
- Hands-on experience building REST APIs and XML/SOAP web services.
- Experience with React, Angular, JavaScript, and jQuery for Java web development.
- Experience using Maven, Ant, Gradle, and Jenkins.
- PostgreSQL expertise is an added qualification.
- Knowledge of authentication, authorization, and general cybersecurity is highly preferred.
- Experience using AI code assistants such as Cursor and Claude is expected.
- Experience with AI spec-driven frameworks such as Plan/BMAD modes and multi-agent workflows is expected.
