Base Salary

$173k - $279k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement low-level engine systems across multiple platforms, including networking, I/O access interfaces, analytics, and the language toolchain.
  • Re-architect Unreal Engine to support granular, on-demand content delivery.
  • Own the design, development, and delivery of complex features in a live game product.
  • Integrate multiple engine subsystems into maintainable functional solutions.
  • Design stable APIs exposing engine capabilities to gameplay layers and internal and external developers.
  • Collaborate across core engine and gameplay teams and drive debugging, maintenance, reliability, and optimization across platforms.

Requirements

  • Strong C++ skills and the ability to architect low-level game systems and associated tooling.
  • Experience creating and maintaining APIs with strong backward-compatibility requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply code design patterns in live environments to improve stability and reduce maintenance.
  • Experience with multiple programming languages and effectively leveraging their strengths.
  • Experience writing performant code across multiple hardware platforms, including game consoles.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and ambiguity-navigation skills.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and workflows is a plus.
