Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain reliable, secure, stable, and scalable software solutions.
- Create high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that integrate with appropriate systems.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI coding and development tools for code generation, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating their outputs.
- Apply software development lifecycle tools, automation, and AI-assisted capabilities to improve engineering productivity.
- Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure implementation meets design constraints.
- Analyze large and diverse datasets and create visualizations and reports to improve software applications and systems.
- Identify patterns and hidden problems in data and use insights to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Proficiency in Java or Python.
- Familiarity with Cassandra, Cockroach, and reactive programming.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming languages and database querying languages.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to evaluate, validate, and refine generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and application resiliency and security practices.
- Preferred familiarity with modern front-end technologies and exposure to cloud technologies.
