Responsibilities
- Assist with building observability, monitoring, and alerting for key services.
- Work with senior engineers and product teams to understand reliability and scalability needs.
- Write and maintain basic scripts and tools to reduce toil and improve engineering velocity.
- Participate in blameless post-mortems and continuous improvement efforts.
- Assist with disaster recovery and systems resiliency testing.
- Support migration of markets applications to Google Cloud Platform.
- Gradually participate in the on-call rotation with direct support from senior engineers.
Requirements
- Foundational programming or scripting skills in languages such as Python, Java, C++, or Bash, demonstrated through coursework, personal projects, or internships.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities with curiosity and willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with cloud concepts, Linux-based systems, Docker or Kubernetes, monitoring tools, and networking concepts is desirable but not required.
- Interest in financial technology and high-performance systems is desirable.
