Responsibilities
- Define standards and vision for the Atlas SaaS data platform.
- Drive the technical design of new features from inception to market.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and design leadership to guide technical strategy.
- Oversee the implementation of large-scale, cross-organizational features.
- Handle production customer escalations and coach teammates.
- Write production-ready database code and mentor teammates.
- Evolve the codebase, best practices, and design principles.
- Ensure high standards for quality across security, durability, and performance.
- Drive AI engineering strategy within the organization.
- Interview candidates for advanced software engineering positions.
- Develop expertise in cutting-edge database developments.
Requirements
- Minimum 15 years of experience in designing and programming distributed systems.
- Experience with latency-sensitive, high-throughput systems.
- Strong systems fundamentals, including multi-threaded programming.
- Familiarity with database internals or core components for data processing.
- Excellent verbal and written technical communication skills.
- Strong time and project management skills.
- Good understanding of information security management.
