Base Salary
$120k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the architecture and implementation of features for EdgeOS and EdgeOS RT middleware.
- Develop runtime services and abstractions across Linux, real-time operating systems, and resource-constrained computing platforms.
- Design and develop tooling to evaluate, observe, and debug autonomous systems.
- Contribute to and extend EdgeOS Language, the interface definition language used within Hivemind autonomy systems.
- Collaborate with autonomy, systems, simulation, and test engineers from initial design through integration.
- Provide technical guidance through design and code reviews, documentation, and mentorship.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Typically requires 7 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, 6 years with a master’s degree, or 4 years with a PhD.
- Strong production proficiency in C++11 or newer.
- Experience designing, developing, and debugging multithreaded systems.
- Experience developing software for real-time operating systems and embedded platforms.
- Strong understanding of concurrency, memory management, resource constraints, and performance optimization.
- Experience writing automated tests and clear technical documentation.
- Preferred qualifications include C++17 or newer, MISRA C++ or comparable safety-critical coding standards, systems engineering and requirements design, DO-178C, ROS2 or similar robotics frameworks, interface definition languages, serialization, code-generation tooling, CMake, Nix, and cross-platform profiling and debugging.
