Responsibilities
- Perform senior-level system analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation of applications and databases.
- Translate technical specifications into code for complex projects and support automated testing.
- Lead backend optimization for high performance, scalability, and responsiveness.
- Integrate data sources, APIs, third-party products, and services to improve system efficiency.
- Create and maintain backend architecture and system documentation.
- Implement security, data protection, resilience, and enterprise architecture best practices.
- Collaborate with front-end and cross-functional teams on backend interfaces and system needs.
- Deploy applications to development, test, and production environments and provide production support.
- Participate in design, code, and test inspections and resolve elevated issues.
- Train and mentor less experienced staff.
- Ensure deliverables comply with Information Technology and Information Security policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum five years of experience in software development, system integration, database design, and backend architecture.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, or a Master’s degree or diploma in Computer Science.
- Expertise in server-side development, system integration, API management, database design, optimization, debugging, and performance tuning.
- Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Node.js, AWS, CloudFormation, ECS, Fargate, DynamoDB, S3, Lambda, IAM, SQL queries, GitHub, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Splunk, Honeycomb, and Python.
- Knowledge of Agile, Confluence, and JIRA.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.
- AWS Cloud Practitioner certification is preferred.
- AWS Cloud and Adobe Experience Manager experience are noted qualifications.
