Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute performance testing strategies, scripts, and scenarios for web, API, middleware, and enterprise applications.
- Analyze performance results, identify bottlenecks, and recommend tuning and optimization improvements.
- Troubleshoot performance issues across application, database, network, and server layers with development and infrastructure teams.
- Use Datadog and AppDynamics to monitor system health, trace transactions, and correlate performance metrics during testing and incidents.
- Build and maintain performance testing frameworks, reusable assets, scripts, utilities, and automation.
- Support capacity planning, scalability assessments, performance risk analysis, release cycles, and continuous improvement of performance engineering practices.
- Communicate performance findings, risks, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Strong experience in performance engineering and performance testing.
- Hands-on expertise with LoadRunner, NeoLoad, JMeter, and K6.
- Practical experience with Datadog and AppDynamics or similar observability and monitoring tools.
- Strong engineering and development skills, including the ability to understand application architecture and code behavior.
- Working knowledge of Unix/Linux and hands-on Python experience for automation, analysis, or tooling.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and prioritization skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with cloud and microservices environments, CI/CD pipeline integration, APM, log analytics, distributed tracing, synthetic monitoring, database and middleware performance analysis, Docker, and Kubernetes.
