Responsibilities
- Design and deliver scalable systems for cloud cost attribution and resource management.
- Optimize cloud architecture and data infrastructure to reduce waste and improve resource utilization.
- Own services through their full lifecycle, including code quality, monitoring, and operational efficiency.
- Translate business and infrastructure needs into technical specifications and developer tooling.
- Build automation and AI/agentic tooling to detect waste, attribute costs, and remediate issues.
- Lead technical projects, contribute to code reviews and engineering practices, and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience producing high-quality production code and technical design documents for distributed systems.
- Experience optimizing cloud resource utilization or developing large-scale distributed tools.
- Strong understanding of distributed-systems practices including monitoring, documentation, testing, and operational quality.
- Ability to break down complex multi-month projects into actionable milestones and tasks.
- Ability to balance system performance, development velocity, and technical debt.
