Responsibilities
- Lead projects from concept to deployment, designing scalable systems for cost attribution and resource management.
- Identify and eliminate inefficiencies in cloud architecture to improve resource utilization.
- Act as the technical expert for your service area, ensuring high code quality and effective monitoring.
- Collaborate with product and infrastructure teams to translate business needs into technical specifications.
- Contribute to code reviews and mentor junior engineers to promote engineering best practices.
- Build automation tools that detect waste and manage costs with minimal human intervention.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in producing high-quality production code and technical design documents for distributed systems.
- Proven ability to break down complex projects into actionable milestones.
- Solid understanding of best practices for distributed systems, including monitoring and testing.
- Experience in optimizing cloud resource utilization or developing large-scale distributed tools.
- Ability to make trade-offs between system performance, development velocity, and technical debt.
