Responsibilities
- Design and develop modern, high-performance UI applications for electronic trading and algorithmic trading platforms.
- Build real-time data visualizations such as live pricing, order books, and trade blotters.
- Handle real-time and streaming data in the UI layer with attention to performance and low latency.
- Provide technical oversight across systems and applications and make architectural and design decisions.
- Follow application development life cycle practices and promote engineering excellence.
- Balance client delivery timelines with governance, compliance, and audit requirements.
- Design, develop, performance-tune, troubleshoot, maintain, and support UI applications.
- Implement styles based on UX designs and collaborate with technology and product teams.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with modern UI frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
- Strong experience building and supporting large-scale, high-performance UI applications.
- Experience with real-time communication channels including WebSockets, HTTP streaming, and SSE.
- Understanding of reactive programming paradigms such as RxJS and state management libraries such as Redux and Zustand.
- Strong experience with distributed applications and architecture.
- Expertise in UI application design, development, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to learn new business concepts and technologies quickly and thoroughly.
- Experience following sound development standards and practices.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and innovation skills.
- Electronic trading experience and financial industry or Rates Products knowledge are preferred but not required.
- Bachelor's degree or university degree, or equivalent experience.
