Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain the complex filing application or similar solution end to end.
- Translate process flows and business requirements into system designs and development plans.
- Lead major design decisions and create scalable architecture that integrates with existing infrastructure while maintaining security.
- Develop front ends, relational database backends, SQL scripts, views, triggers, and stored procedures.
- Implement Login.gov user authentication, ETL processes, automated testing, vulnerability scanning and remediation, and accessibility compliance.
- Collaborate with product owners, the IT Federal Project Manager, business analysts, SMEs, system owners, customers, and end users.
- Plan, conduct, assign, and monitor iterative application development and provide estimates for system changes and enhancements.
- Identify opportunities for platform-based solutions and establish standards for future development.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Undergraduate degree in computer science, information systems management, mathematics, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- At least 10 years of progressively responsible IT experience, including at least five years performing design and development duties.
- Experience planning and monitoring iterative system or application development and working with business partners on prototypes and revisions.
- Experience developing front ends with technologies such as React JS.
- Experience with relational database backends, SQL scripts, views, triggers, and stored procedures.
- Experience implementing user authentication with Login.gov using IAL-1.
- Experience developing and implementing ETL processes using data from external sources.
- Experience with Agile development methodology and tools such as Jira.
- Experience working in a DevSecOps environment with tools such as GitLab and Jenkins.
- Experience with test automation, security vulnerability scanning and remediation, and Section 508 accessibility compliance.
- Experience estimating design and programming efforts for system changes and enhancements.
