Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver features and systems for WorkSpaces On-Instance Software, contributing to its architecture strategy.
- Drive a unified codebase for Windows and Linux features and collaborate with EC2, identity-provider, troubleshooting, and platform teams.
- Design on-instance identity, security, authorization, governance, and compliance-ready images for human and AI-agent users.
- Own low-latency, highly available provisioning and agent services across production regions, AWS partitions, and operating-system variants.
- Improve instrumentation, automated testing, pipeline-based deployment, safe automatic updates, self-service diagnostics, and autonomous issue resolution.
- Experiment with AI-powered capabilities such as conversational setup, natural-language troubleshooting, and AI-assisted fleet management.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 1 year of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 1 year of Object Oriented Design experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development life-cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
