Responsibilities
- Lead engineering teams in executing end-to-end feature implementation within the navigation organization.
- Design and implement scalable services for API and routing engine tiers.
- Apply best practices for deployment, resilience, and observability.
- Design and run experiments evaluating product quality, reliability, and capacity.
- Collaborate with product owners, sales engineering, and management to shape product direction.
- Own the technical vision and strategy for the routing cost engine.
- Mentor engineers and support team skill and career development.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation, including potential responses outside normal working hours and on weekends.
Requirements
- 8–10+ years of engineering experience.
- Extensive hands-on experience with C++, Python, and/or Rust.
- Deep knowledge of data structures, algorithms, design patterns, memory management, multithreading, and performance optimization.
- Experience with cloud database services including AWS RDS, Google Cloud Spanner, and Azure SQL.
- Experience deploying and managing databases in cloud environments.
- Experience mentoring and leading engineering teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for explaining complex ideas and resolving organization-wide technical discussions.
- Ability to collaborate with security, DevOps, data, compliance, and product teams.
